Is Anitch Any Good? Real Parent Reviews and Before-and-After Skin Changes
From dryness and flaking to a daily moisturising habit. The questions parents ask us most, answered in one place.
"Is Anitch actually any good?" is the question parents ask most before buying an eczema moisturiser. Anitch is a Hong Kong eczema care brand built on the Anesinin® botanical formula, with no steroids and no pharmaceutical drugs, suitable for the whole family including newborns. Below: what parents can realistically do for dry, flaking skin, two real customer experiences and what to expect before you buy.
The short answer
Is Anitch good for eczema? Yes, but Anitch is skincare, not medicine. It is designed for daily moisturising and skin barrier support, not as a fast-acting anti-inflammatory treatment. It suits people who need consistent, long-term care for dry and eczema-prone skin, particularly children and infants where long-term steroid use is not preferred. Products are made in an Australian GMP-standard facility, dermatologist tested, SGS certified for sensitive skin at the highest grade, and microbiome-friendly.
Results build over time. Anitch recommends applying at least three times daily. Some customers report noticing calmer, less flaky skin within a few days to a week, but individual experience varies.
Changing weather, air-conditioned rooms, sweat, plus friction from clothing and cleaning products can all leave a child's skin dry, rough, flaky and itchy. For most parents, the difficult part is not knowing that they should moisturise. It is not knowing what good care actually looks like day to day.
Eczema care is usually not about rescuing the skin once a flare has started. It starts with everyday cleansing, moisturising and reducing irritation, building a routine that fits your child.
Why does eczema-prone skin in children dry out and flake so easily?
Think of the skin barrier as a protective wall on the surface of the skin. It helps reduce water loss and limits how much contact irritants make with the skin underneath. When that barrier is weakened, moisture escapes easily and the skin can feel tight, rough, flaky and itchy. Dryness, overheating, soaps and detergents, rough fabrics and other irritants can all make the discomfort worse.
Eczema also moves around. In babies it is often on the face; in older children it commonly appears at the elbow creases or behind the knees, and it shifts with age, season and environment. That is why care should not be fixed on one area, but adjusted to what your child's skin needs at the time.
What can parents actually do when skin is itchy, dry and flaking?
Look at the skin first, then decide where to focus
If the main issue is general dryness across the body, put your energy into consistent daily moisturising with something like Barrier Repair Body Cream. If the cheeks, elbows, knees or other spots are noticeably rough or cracked, add targeted care on those areas with Barrier Rescue Balm on top of the cream.
Reduce irritation at bath time
Avoid water that is too hot, avoid scrubbing, and avoid frequent use of cleansers that dry the skin. Pat dry gently rather than rubbing with a towel, and apply moisturiser while the skin still holds a little moisture. If your child feels clear stinging or discomfort after using any product, stop and speak to a pharmacist or doctor.
Make moisturising routine, not a flare-up response
Build it in after bathing, after changing clothes, and during the day as needed. Spread the product gently and evenly rather than rubbing repeatedly at dry or sensitive areas. When choosing products, look at whether the formula is fragrance-free, whether the texture suits the area (the face usually wants something lighter, like Barrier Restore Face Cream), and whether your child will actually tolerate how it feels.
Reduce the second-round damage from scratching
When it itches, children scratch without realising, which makes skin redder, sorer and sometimes broken. Keep clothing soft and breathable, and when your child is hot or sweaty, help them cool down and change into something dry. Keeping the skin comfortable usually works better than simply telling a child not to scratch.
Real customer experiences: skin changes before and after using Anitch
Product descriptions only go so far. Here is what two parents told us.

Customer · Ms Ngan
"After seven days of consistent use, my child's flaking, itching and redness improved. I would recommend it to friends."
7 days of consistent use
Customer · Ms Chan
"My child has had eczema since birth and we tried different brands, but this one worked for him. During a flare-up, after three to four days of continuous use the itching and flaking improved, so we now always keep it at home."
7 days of consistent useThese are individual experiences. Actual results vary with skin condition, length of use and overall routine, and images are for reference only. Any before-and-after images reflect one customer's own record and are shared to show how daily moisturising and targeted care can work together. They do not indicate that every user will get the same result, and they should not be treated as medical or clinical proof of efficacy.

Start by understanding what the product actually is
The most practical way to judge whether a product will work for you is to look at what it is designed to do, what is in it, and who it is safe for, then match that against your own situation.
The formula
Patented Anesinin® botanical formula, developed with a University of Hong Kong microbiology research team. It targets Staphylococcus aureus toxins to help reduce inflammation and itch.
What it is
Skincare, not medicine. No steroids, no pharmaceutical drugs. Suitable for long-term use, with results that build through consistency.
Who can use it

Manufacturing
Made in an Australian GMP-standard facility. Dermatologist tested, microbiome-friendly, SGS certified for sensitive skin at the highest grade, not animal tested.

Setting expectations: where Anitch fits, and where it does not

Anitch is skincare, so results build through consistent use rather than arriving instantly. The recommendation is at least three applications a day. Some customers report calmer, less flaky skin within three to seven days, but this varies. Give it at least a few weeks before judging.
Yes. The full Anitch range is suitable for all ages, including newborns, elderly users, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. It is also safe for people with G6PD deficiency, as it contains no G6PD-triggering ingredients.
Yes. Apply your prescribed topical steroid or antibiotic first, wait a few minutes for it to absorb, then apply Anitch on top. The two do different jobs and do not work against each other.
Barrier Repair Body Cream is the daily, broad-coverage base moisturiser. Barrier Rescue Balm is the intensive product for badly cracked or actively flaring spots. Apply the cream first, then layer the balm only where it is needed. The balm goes on top of your base cream, never instead of it.

Our data, explained
Understanding the results: the 7-day Anitch customer trial
You may have seen our "EASI decreased 93.4%" figure. Here is exactly what that number is, how we got it, how many people it is based on, and what it does and does not tell you.
Participants
79 enrolled, 11 completed all 7 days
Duration
7 consecutive days of use per participant
Trial period
5 to 30 August 2026
Day 0 vs Day 7
93.4% reduction in the 11 completers’ average EASI score
1. Trial overview
The trial was conducted by Anitch Limited between 5 and 30 August 2026, with each participant using Anitch products over seven consecutive days. Participants submitted daily photographs of their affected skin to document changes throughout the testing period. 79 participants enrolled in the trial, and 11 completed all seven days of photo submissions.
2. How skin was assessed
Skin condition was assessed using the Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI), a recognised scoring method for evaluating eczema severity.
EASI looks at four body regions: head and neck, upper limbs, trunk, and lower limbs. Each region is scored on how much of it is affected by eczema and on four signs: redness, swelling or raised bumps, scratch marks, and skin thickening. Regions with no eczema were given a score of zero.
All photographic assessments and EASI scoring were carried out internally by Anitch Limited, not through independent clinical evaluation.
3. Reading the graph

The graph illustrates a representative example of the positive improvements observed during the 7-day trial. It uses one participant's EASI assessment to demonstrate the progression of improvement observed across the 11 participants, all of whom recorded positive results.
The starting and final points represent this participant's actual EASI scores on Day 0 and Day 7. The intermediate points have been smoothed using results from the wider trial to provide a clearer visual representation of the general progression over the seven days.
The 93.4% reduction represents the change between this participant's initial and final EASI scores. The graph is intended as a simplified illustration of the daily scores/results.
4. How to interpret these results
The results reflect changes in observed eczema severity during the seven-day testing period, based on photographic assessments using the EASI method. Because the number of completers is small, these results should be read as an early indication rather than a representative outcome.
This was an internally conducted customer trial, not an independently conducted clinical study. Results should be interpreted accordingly, and individual outcomes may vary. Anitch is skincare, not medicine, and does not replace treatment prescribed by a doctor.
